Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Herd Manager App web application at herdmanager.app (the "Service"), operated by Herd Manager App ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or email/password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to create an account.

2. Free and Paid Plans

The Service offers a free plan (up to 10 active goats) and a paid Unlimited plan. Both plans include access to all features — the only difference is the number of active goats you can track.

Free Plan: Available indefinitely at no cost with a limit of 10 active goats. Goats with statuses of Sold, Deceased, or Archived do not count toward this limit.

Unlimited Plan: Available for $12/month or $100/year. Removes the active goat limit. Pricing may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

3. Payments & Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings — your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@herdmanager.app for billing issues.

4. Your Data

You own all data you enter into the Service, including goat records, health records, milk records, financial data, photos, and documents. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the Service — including syncing across devices, generating reports, and displaying your public farm profile and marketplace listings (if you choose to enable these features).

You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Export Data. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to access other users' data without authorization
• Abuse the feedback system with spam or abusive content
• Use automated tools to scrape data from the Service
• Misrepresent your identity or farm information on marketplace listings
• List fraudulent or misleading marketplace content
• Circumvent any access controls or usage limits

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Marketplace & Community

The Service includes a marketplace for listing goats, products, and stud services, as well as messaging between users. We are a platform — we do not participate in or guarantee any transactions between users. All sales, purchases, and breeding arrangements are between the parties involved.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listings and for complying with local laws regarding animal sales, transport, and health requirements.

7. Public Farm Profiles

If you create a public farm profile, the information you choose to make public is visible to anyone on the internet. You control what information appears on your public profile. You can make your profile private at any time from Settings.

8. Availability & Reliability

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

The Service includes offline functionality — your data is stored locally on your device and syncs to the cloud when online. We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, browser issues, or user error.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

The Service is a record-keeping tool — it is not a substitute for professional veterinary, legal, or financial advice. Decisions about animal health, breeding, and farm management are your responsibility.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by Herd Manager App and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice when possible. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, but Sections 4, 9, and 10 survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the app or sending an email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
